ONE Factor That Determines The Fate of Your Blog
I’m pretty sure everybody will have her
own opinion on this but what is that ONE thing that really matters that guarantees repeat visitors and of course profits?
- Unique content?
- Links?
- Layout?
- Interesting Post?
- Traffic Strategies?
- Advertising?
- “Secret” Plugin(s)
- Opt in form
Well, people are going to tell you a lot
of things but my little experiment (done unintentionally) reveals that it’s CONSTANT
UPDATE that matters. I have some blogs with so-so contents and even some poor,
useless post seems to be getting more and more traffic than this blog which I update only with top-notch, original content of my own,
simply because it’s updated frequently. That’s how some people are making good money with auto-blogging with all rehashed and recycled
contents. Get it?
Really, trust me on this. As long as you
are committed to make new post to your blog consistently over a period of time, you’ll notice what I am sharing today is true. Your post does not
necessarily need to be always fancy or important at all times. You can even edit some PLR to post on your blog sparingly. Don’t
worry; duplicate content won’t
turn your blog to a standstill, it’s rather a blog that is not updated often that turn stale and dead.
Just like magazines; no matter how great
an article and how useful it is, for those who know how to appreciate, they will cut it out and keep in the file. That’s exactly what you would
be doing too right? For me, yes. And I only take it out once in a blue moon – normally when I do the cleaning and tidying up of my room. So you
have a great post there on your blog, with no or little further update on it, your blog is doom simply because people want new and latest
update.
Don’t get me wrong though. I never say
that unique content is not important. But that should come after consistency in updating your blog. If you can do both, then your blog
will grow (in terms of repeat traffic) and soar (if you know how to properly monetize it) even without heavy advertising.
So, please do not blog if you are not
ready to commit proper amount of time and effort in updating it. It’s not going reap you enough return without consistent update on it. This
might not sound very interesting to you because it sounds like common sense. But it’s always things as simple as this that makes the difference
and of which the majority of people usually ignore. So, don’t be the next to ignore this simple truth just because it sounds too basic and
simple.
Cheers!
